The year began with a festival of glorious rain showers, and at some stage I went outside without a shirt, to really feel the droplets. They were like needles piercing my skin. It was a spiritual experience, reminding one that we are nourished by the sky.
Afterwards, the snails came out and left those shiny trails on the garden leaves, and I thought about that as a metaphor for a perfect artistic life. To leave some dubious evidence of your journey, without choice.
