Energy Antidote Anecdote

Energy Antidote Anecdote

Energy is this mega commodity that is sold to us like cheap candy. It absolutely is, when we buy sugar-laced vitamins that promise us a better day.

I’m so tired of buying energy. I buy it for the lights, for the car, with the gym membership, at the pharmacy,

for the electric gate. Physical and emotional energy is for sale.

I’m sure that people who pray are silently praying to God for more energy. The whole country is banking on it.

I was coming out of a supermarket when some kids approached me to sponsor their athletics team on a school tour. I said I’m an artist, not a funder of children’s sports. I granted them their wish though. What choice?

The same rules apply - the children cannot run unless there is some broader mechanism behind them, pushing them forward. If we don’t sponsor them we may miss out on the next Usain Bolt.

Energy is the antidote to tragedy. Energy is security. It’s not just a party drug for a late night.
